Burnout

From burnout to joy: a different path

2025-09-04 · Grace Stilgrove

Why recovery is rarely linear — and why structure matters when you are tired.

This is a placeholder essay written in the voice of the Divine Inner Health Method: careful, intelligent, and unhurried. Real writing will replace this copy before launch.

The Method holds, again and again, that the body keeps asking to be heard. We can spend a long time explaining ourselves to ourselves — and still the shoulders rise, the breath shortens, the jaw locks. The work is not to think more cleverly about the problem. The work is to come back into the room of the body and listen.

In a practical session this might look very ordinary. A long exhale. A weighted bolster across the legs. The small, almost embarrassing relief of being told that this is enough for today.

A note on rigour

Iyengar yoga is not vague. It is precise, sequenced, and built — over decades — to meet a body where it is and bring it, carefully, somewhere new. That precision is what makes it safe.
