The founder

Grace Stilgrove: teacher, practitioner, survivor, and founder of Divine Inner Health Method.

A small biography of a long road back — and the method it became.

Professional background

Grace's working life has moved between the clinical and the practical: an MSc in Psychology, years in NHS mental health services as a High Intensity CBT practitioner, work in substance misuse and community settings, and — alongside that — personal training, nutrition study, and a deepening practice of Iyengar yoga.

The pivot

After years in mental health services and a profound personal season of loss, Grace began to feel that purely cognitive and behavioural interventions were no longer enough for the kind of healing she wanted to offer. The body kept asking to be included.

Why Iyengar

Iyengar yoga is rigorous, alignment-based, sequenced, and precise. It builds strength and stability slowly, with props and patience. It is, in Grace's experience, the most reliable doorway into the body that psychology had been pointing towards all along.

Teaching style

Strong, detailed, evidence-informed, safe, grounded, direct, and compassionate. Students should leave feeling steadier than they arrived — not exhausted, not performed-at, not overwhelmed with cues.
